031000 Snow, the softness of it, the wonders of it… it slowly covered the streets with it's beauty as she looked from the inside staring out. It has been six weeks since she had returned to Japan. She was so happy to return back to her friends. Ami had become a doctor. Rei was a hot pop singer, as Minako had become a teacher. Makoto opened up her restaurant called 'Jupiter's Dream'. Setsuna came and gone, as she worked for a space unit. Haruka still raced cars, as Michiru was content with teaching violin lessons and watching over Hotaru who was around eleven. After the event Galaxia, she seem to slow down her rate of growth so she would become the correct age that she would have been. It must have been because Chaos was destroyed. "Rena-chan, come on, can't wait all day." A singsong voice called out to her, she turned around to see Rei smile at her. "Makoto would be wondering why we are late… you know she always prepares us with a buffet of food this time of day, waiting for us to come to her restaurant." Serena nodded, going up to her friend. Rini was at school, and wouldn't be home until five, since Michiru always insisted in picking her up with Hotaru so she could give her violin lessons right after school, and she had nothing much to do. The others refused to let her get a job, saying that she was a princess and shouldn't be doing anything. She sighed, taking a deep breath of air. The snow continued to fall as the paper doors open. She always loved the shrine, which she stayed at. There was a sense of serenity and fulfillment. Except something was missing in her… A large piece was missing actually. And only one man held that piece in his hand. ~~~ "Hurry find it inside of yourself Lie your trembling shoulder upon mine... Our worlds have twice shattered apart Only we have yet been chosen..." - Toki wo Koete / Cross Over Time Gomen Ne Chapter 6 By Eternal Angel Usako9@hotmail.com http://cherryblossoms.cjb.net/ Untouchable You are So out of my reach I pray to the gods above To make my arms a little bit longer But no avail You're still So out of reach Unemotional You are Feeling nothing I cry, you watch You just don't understand You don't care About the pain I have been through Unseeing You are So blind, so dark Look around you for once Look at *me* for once But you look through me You look through happiness You look through everything Unhearing You are Listen to my words So filled with love So filled with dreams But you block out the sound Of a voice you know anywhere You block out me Unloving You are Blind to not see my heart Deaf to not hear my voice To far away for me to touch To uncaring to see the love I have for you ~~~ He was in the slump of his life, he never felt so horrible in his life. He stood in front of her old shop, looking in. Nothing, no one, just emptiness. He felt the pit in his stomach get twisted some more. "Usako…" he said softly, as a voice said from behind him, "You miss her don't you?" He turned around to see Robin, his eyes looked at her in surprise. "What…?" "You miss Serena don't you?" She asked, her eyes looking at him intently. Ever since that day he found out about Serena leaving, he had been more spaced, more heartbroken… "I remember when she first came her, she barley spoke much English. And she was around four months pregnant." His swallowed hard. 'Four months.' He repeated in his mind. She would have know for two months and must have wanted so much to have told her. Yet he would call home, saying 'I'm busy' and her chance was ruined. "She had such a hard time during childbirth. The doctors said it was because of too much stress and working on her feet. She worked as a waitress at a coffee shop during that time. That's where I met her. She was a sweet person, always thinking of others." He nodded as Robin continued. "I was in the emergency room with her, since she requested it. I took her there and all. The doctors wasn't sure if she would make it… if Rini would make it…" Her eyes became far off, as she continued on, "She begged and pleaded that they would save her daughter, even if it meant her life. She even told me to take care of Rini if something happened to her… I'm glad nothing did." "I remember, weeks later, asking why should would risk her life to save a child when she could have more. Do you know what she said?" Robin asked him, her green eyes looked at him with sincerity but also anger. "What?" He managed out, as his heart could not bear to think about what she had faced *alone*. What she was force to go through by herself. "She told me that Rini was the only thing she had left of you. She said that even if she didn't have you, your heart, or anything like that, at least she would be content to know that she had *your* child…" "My child…" He said, his heart began to ache benief his rib cage, as Robin looked at him, seriousness in her eyes. "Serena never planned to get remarried." With that she turned around and left as he stood there, his mind spun. 'I never had a family until I met her… 'And then she had given me a family… 'She had given everything… 'Including her heart…' With that, he had made up his mind. What was living if it wasn't living with her? What was money when he wasn't going to spend it on her? He ran towards his company building with notation in his head. He was going back to Japan. ~~~ Lying down, she looked up at the ceiling, her eyes staring up at the nothingness. Rini didn't seem to have her sleepless nights anymore ever since she had came to live in Japan. She seemed more in peace here, and slept well in nights, not entering her room anymore whenever she had a nightmare. She had missed sharing a bed with someone, as she flopped to her side, unable to sleep. In nights like this, so long ago, all that needed to happen was his strong wrap around her body for her to be able to feel her body relax as she fell into a deep wonderful sleep. But he wasn't here. He would never be here. Soft sob escaped her lips as tears rolled down. No matter how much she tried to convince herself that she didn't need him, she always felt herself cry herself to sleep because of him. "Mamo-chan…" she whispered, as she wrapped the blanket closer to her body and cried herself to sleep. ~~~ He looked up at the sky, the sun had disappeared, and snow clouds were everywhere. Winter seem to stretch long this year, as he walked the familiar streets of Japan. He took a whiff of the mid-winter air. His eyes caught onto a wonderful sight, a blond with a little pink haired girl hand in hand in the streets of Tokyo shopping happily. "Usako…" he said softly, as his long legs took swift movements so he appeared in front of her. Her eyes were concentrated on the ground, as she could smell the scent of roses. Her body seem to stiffen yet relax at the same time. She look up, into familiar blue eyes. Her heart beat faster as she begged it to stop. "Darien," she stated, as he looked at her, emotions in his eyes. "I love you." Three words that melted so much ice around her heart. 'Iie, don't fall for his tricks again. He always said he loved you, but then, he calls you up to say that he can't come home… he needs to work…' "I don't believe you." She said back, as the little girl that held hands with her yanked her jacket as she looked down. "Okaa-san, who's he?" She turned from the little girl to Darien as her voice was stuck in her throat. Darien looked at her; his eyes filled with so much truth, so much love. He took her hand, as he dropped a star locket into her hands, as she caught sight of the ring that was still around his finger. "You never took it off?" She asked, as he shook his head. "I could never take it off. It was the only thing left that bonded me to you…" She bit her lip, as she closed her eyes, her grip on the locket tighten, "You're lying." She accused him, as he replied back, "Look into my eyes, and tell me, am I lying?" Forcing her eyes open, she looked deep into his eyes. She got lost in them, but what she did see was… love. For her? She took a deep breath. "I… don't… know…" "Give me a change Usako, I promise, to the sun and the moon that if I ever let you go again, I'll be damned for the rest of eternity… "I gave up the job I had in Canada just to come back to you…" She snapped. The barrier she built around her to protect her from him had disappeared; tears ran down her face as she threw herself around him, "Mamo-chan…" she cried, as he tightened his embrace. She let him go, as she bent down to Rini, her eyes still confused about what was happening and spoke up, "Rini, he's your father…" Rini looked up at the man as uncertain. "Papa?" She said softly, as he grinned at her, with that he picked her up into his arm as he pulled Serena into another. The snow seem to stop from falling as the sun had began to appear from the clouds. Brightness, beauty, light, it seem to shine from the heavens above. He smiled, looking at his family with content. Finally, he was complete. ~~~ End ~~~ Hmm, hopefully that is more detailed and better than the first ending. Anyhow, email me your comments!!
