A prince and a princess A boy and a girl The Kingdoms Earth and Moon This is a differtent world. Looks are the same The difference is in your eyes. Can we fall in love again? On what path our future lies... LONG WAY TO THE STORY, IF IMPATIENT ADVANCE TO NEXT LARGE SPACE. Legal Stuff!!!: I don't own any Sailormoon characters. Naoko Takeuchi and various companies hold that priveledge. *However,* this STORY is my own, and I'd like to keep it that way. I'd love for you to read it, even better if you enjoy it, hope you may be inspired by it, but plead that you do not copy it. Give credit where credit is due, and to each their own. Have honor, okay? Most importantly, though, ENJOY!!! (P.S. You probably want to "wrap" this story) Author's Note: This series begins in the second volume of the manga, starting off right as the senshi face off with Kunzite for the first time. I'm using the Japanese names, but the first dialogues in the forms of thoughts are from the Mixxzine comic of Sailor Moon. By the way, you'll notice I change the order of events in the story. I have no explanation, but its my story, so I'm allowed to screw with it! (Enter cackling, loud Esmaraude (Emerald) laughter that I cannot pull off here.) Character guide: (On request, here's a guide.) Darien/Mamoru, Serena/Usagi, Mina/Minako, Lita/Makoto, Malachite/Kunzite, and Metallia is the dominating force of the Negaverse/Dark Kingdom. The others only change spellings. One more thing *GLOSSARY* (skip this if you know a little Nihongo (Japanese)): (On request, here's a glossary.) I DO NOT USE ALL OF THESE WORDS! I ONLY KEEP ONE GLOSSARY! To keep with the feel of the original series, I switch between English and Japanese throughout the story, depending on when and where it sounds more appropriate. On that note, I'm including a small glossary. Here's what you may need to know: abunai/danger or watch out, aishite/I love you, arigatoo/thank you, atama/head, baka/fool, daijobu/alright or okay, dame/(no, or don't, or it's useless), demo/but, desu/(it) is, dooshite/why, gomen (ne or nasai)/sorry, hai/yes, iie/no, ii or yoi/good, ja/yeah or well, ja mata or ja ma/see you later, ka/(to make a statement a question), konbanwa/good evening, konnichiwa/good afternoon or hello, mate/wait, minna/everyone (body), nan(da)or nani/what, odango/dumpling, ohayo/good morning, okashii/funny, oyasumi nasai/good night (said right before bed) shimata/damn or oh heaven! s (you say it when you're mad or dissappointed), shi'ne (actually, there's no accent, but it looks confusing if not)/die, shitsukarishite/don't die, yamena/stop (it), yokata/thank god. Keep in mind these are simple romanizations, so they may not be spelled correctly, but they are phonetically correct according to Japanese pronuciation. Now, on to the story!! It was the only thing on Sailor Moon's mind as she spirited the other senshi away, along with the princess, Sailor Venus. She didn't hear Minako screaming for her to stop, for the others to protect her instead. She only knew her mission, and that she would have to take on Kunzite, alone. Unfortunately, she wasn't watching him closely. She was completely unprepared as she turned around to face his grinning, sadistic smile behind a burning white concentration of energy. Then he aimed... Tuxedo Kamen assured himself as he rushed to her ... and fired. Sailor Moon didn't have time to react as Tuxedo Kamen pushed her out of the beam's path, placing himself directly into its line of fire. He didn't have time to scream as it blazed though his chest, completely destroying his left lung as it burned its way through. He felt light as his legs gave out from under him. He collapsed into Sailor Moon's awaiting arms. It all happened so fast, it seemed like a dream to her, not even a half hour ago she was hanging out with her friends. What went wrong? She held Chiba Mamoru in her arms. He was her latest crush, no, more than a crush. The way he made her feel was indescribable, all warm and safe and happy. For a moment she just stared, he was gorgous. She was almost ready to greet him hello when she saw his eyes were closed. He cringed, if only for an instant, then she saw the blood soaking into his shirt, and realized just what went on. "Tuxedo Kamen?!" she uttered in shock. Then she screamed, "Mamoru-san! Shitsukarishite!" He didn't answer as they floated in the sky. Sailor Moon didn't even notice they were no longer on Tokyo Tower, rather, they were above it. All she cared about was Mamoru as she dropped to her knees, coddling his battered form in her lap. She began to cry, that white hot feeling built in her eyes as she screamed his name. Then, as if her cries had willed it so, her tiara shattered, revealing a cresent moon on her forehead. Simultaniously, the one on Venus' head faded, replaced by a simple tiara. Mamoru told himself. He reached up to his princess, gently stroking her face with his hand. He could hardly see her, his vision was so dark. He heard her sobs. Her eyes were full of hope that he was moving, hope that he would live. His eyes began to close as he spoke to her. He didn't have much time. "Serenity... aishite..." He stopped, unable to say any more. He seemed peaceful as his eyelids drifted down for the final time. With that, he was ! gone. "IIIIIIEEEEEEEE!!!!!" Usagi screamed. It was shrill and high pitched, anyone within earshot heard her resounding agony. A bright light enveloped her, and in a flash she was someone else, Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom. "Endymion..." she sobbed. "No..." Tears streamed down her face, and one in particular caught the attention of all. It shimmered radiently as it freed itself from her cheek. Energy gathered around it, and it took a form. "The Silver Imperium Crystal!" Venus exclaimed as she stared up at the princess. The crystal began to glow, brighter than the brightest star. It was Serenity's to control. she began inside her own mind. Before she could finish, the crystal already went to work, healing every living thing within Tokyo. Serenity then made her intention clear. <...Endymion.> It only took her a moment to realize it wasn't working, so she concentrated, pouring as much strength as she could from the crystal to her love's body. Sadly, she didn't realize. There was no healing him. The body was cold. There was no healing for a corpse. The light faded, now locked within Mamoru. Kunzite knew the time for observation was over. Now was the time to strike. "Shi'ne!" Sailor Jupiter was the first to notice. She bolted towards the princess, yelling desperately, "Princess, Abunai! Get out of the way!" Venus followed up with her powers running rampant, "Rolling Heart Vibration!" "Supreme Thunder!" The two senshi blocked the backlash of power as Kunzite countered their attacks. They did, however, manage to weaken him. He blasted them, and they countered, a little too late. They were jolted backwards, Serenity losing her grip on Mamoru. "Endymion!!" she screamed as he fell from her arms. Venus continued to protect her, holding her back until Jupiter could recover the prince. The body stopped when it landed in Kunzite's arms, and he laughed while he prepared to retreat. For some reason, Jupiter wasn't surprised. She acted immediately, like she knew this would happen. "Supreme Thunder!" Lightning showered down from the sky into Jupiter, who was its conduit, channeling the electricity to Kunzite. Caught off guard, he reeled back, dropping Tuxedo Kamen. "Flower Hurricane!" The attack was just that, and it provided ample cover for Jupiter to grab her fallen comrade. He was limp in her arms as she pulled back. His eyes jarred open to reveal a ghastly sight, pure white eyes, the color rolled up into the back of his head. He didn't move, and Makoto noted that his body was ice cold. She could do no more than hold him as she lowered herself to the ground. Kunzite had retreated, and the princess was already waiting. She rushed to his side, not aware of the disheartening fact, her long lost lover was once again lost to her. Jupiter quickly laid him on the ground and turned away. "Endymion!" Serenity called to him. She took his head in her small hands and searched for any sign that he was alright. She saw his eyes and began to cry out. The senshi tried to comfort her, but all attempts were futile. She was desperate. She lashed out with every ounce of power she could drain from the crystal, trying to revive her dead lover. "Princess, please! He's already dead. His body's cold, you can't revive him!" Mercury reasoned with her, to no avail. The senshi could do nothing except watch their desparate princess struggle to bring Chiba Mamoru back to life. Her mind raged, she would not accept defeat. Light filled the area in a bright flash. When it disipated the senshi turned their eyes to the prince, hoping against hope that he would awaken. His chest moved. He snapped his eyes shut, then they slowly, lazily fluttered open and closed. Again and again he repeated the action, not being able to adjust to the lights shining down from the tower. "Endymion?!! You're alright?!" The princess was ecstatic. She had achieved her goals. "Serenity..." he whispered, trying to bring a hand to her face. It was back on the ground no sooner than he had lifted it. The prince collapsed from exhaustion, his princess followed suit. She dreamed of the past, of her newly recovered memories, and most importantly of her prince, and their fulfilling future. When Tsukino Usagi awoke, she was back in the arcade, curled up on a blanket with another one over top of her. "Nan?" she mumbled, still half asleep. The others swarmed around her. "Usagi, daijobu ka?!" someone hastily asked her. Usagi giggled, she could have sworn it was Rei. "Hai!" she answered cheerily. Then she heard a low moan, and she instantly recognized it. "Mamo-chan!" she yelled as her eyes shifted across the room, searching for him. He was on the floor in between a row of computers. She ran to him as he pulled himself up into a sitting position. "Mamoru-san, daijobu desu ka?!" "Hmm?" he half groaned. "Serenity?" He was holding his head and seemed dazed. "Yes, it's me, Serenity, Usagi," she quickly responded. She felt his head as well, brushing his dark bangs away from his eyes, checking for a fever. "Oo... oosagee?" he stuttered, he seemed uncomfortable with the word. "Hai, soo desu." She stared at him, sky blue eyes full of concern. "Daijobu ka? Did you hurt your head?" It took him a while to answer. "I... don't think so. Where are we?" "The control room, in the arcade." "What?" "We have a control room underneath the arcade. You've never been here before," she explained, hoping to lift the fog from his mind. "Arcade?" She gawked at him in disbelief. Uncertainly, she began to speak, "Hai, Crown Game Center, remember?" "Iie." "Mamoru-san?! Are you sure you're alright?" He didn't answer. "Mamoru-san? Are you deaf? Mamoru?" He began to stare at her. "What are you calling me?" She gasped. "Endymion!" Luna, the small guardian cat called to him. He turned to stare directly at her. "You're Endymion, aren't you?" "Yes, I am. Where are we, Luna?" he asked. His voice was slow and clear, almost regal. The voice of a prince. "You've been revived directly. You are in Tokyo, in the future." Usagi's mind was reeling. "Revived directly, you mean this isn't the Kingdom of Earth? That I'm not..." "You're not supposed to be here, Endymion," the cat explained. "You died in the Moon Kingdom, and were reincarnated as Chiba Mamoru. Now, somehow, when Serenity went to revive him, your essence was directly taken into this body. It was not supposed to happen this way." Endymion looked around the arcade, confused out of his mind. Everything was different, there was technology he'd never seen, on Earth. The Moon had made numerous advances in technology in his time, but not Earth. He stared at the light fixtures and computers, and the the material on the floor. It all seemed so alien. Then his gaze met with the blonde girl kneeling beside him, a stranger, yet he knew her well. "And you're Princess Serenity?" Usagi wasn't sure of what to say. Yes, she was the princess, but was she really the one he knew? She felt different, and he was not her Mamoru. "I am Serenity, though I'd prefer you called me by my normal name, Tsukino Usagi." "Alright, Sue-key-no oosagee." He couldn't get used to that name... He took her hand, unsure of what to do next. Was this his princess? He didn't know, he couldn't know. He'd never met Usagi before. He kissed her on the forehead, ever so lightly. Usagi blushed furiously. "Ma... Endymion..." she sighed in wonder. When she came to her senses she shook her head about, eyes closed tightly. "Not in front of minna! I'm so embarassed..." Endymion pondered the thought with amusement. He smiled. To be continued... Okay, this is my new series. Sorry that this part's lots of introduction, next part I'll only keep the glossary. I just took lots of suggestions because I basically do everything in Japanese. That is the way I know the series best, and the way I can best convey my stories. This story has a rather strange plotline, but I'll keep it interesting. I have some ideas for it, but I can always change! (Heck, my last series (Power in the Hands of Loneliness) started as a three part series starring Mamoru and Motoki. I ended up completely cutting Motoki out and making it twelve parts! How's that for radical change!) So stick with me here, I hope I won't disappoint you!
