Endymion had his arms around Usagi, his body up against hers as he breathed a sigh of relief. "We're alright, and together again, my prin... oosahgee. I can't believe it. It's almost too good to be true that we're safe..." "We're not," Venus informed him in a serious, if not sorrowful, tone. "Beryl, and Metallia, were revived with us. We have to seal them away all over again." "What?!" Endymion was in disbelief. "Why..." "It just happened," Artemis added. "To revive us, Queen Serenity had to release everything within the crystal, including the evil." Endymion stared at the young girl before him. "I don't care so long as we're together," he assured her, holding her tightly. Usagi thought. She was almost uncomfortable within his embrace. She looked helplessly at her friends, wanting help without insulting her prince. Rei couldn't take it anymore when he kissed her. "Get a room," she mumbled, intent on being heard. Endymion glared at the dark haired priestess. "Watch your tone with me. You may be a guardian, but your talking to the Crown Prince of Earth..." "Sumimasen, Endymion," Luna began. "But you are not..." "Not what?" "Gomen ne, you are no longer the prince of Earth." "What?!" he questioned, a shocked expression plastered on his face. "The Earth has not had one single ruler, nor one of your bloodline, ever since the Silver Millenium." Endymion was in a sort of shock. His heart pounded as if threatening to break. He had tight bonds with the Earth, his planet. It was natural that he should rule it, one with a bond so complete would only know how. Even now he felt odd, though he was going through too much of a sensory overload to notice. Being the prince meant protecting his planet, and now it was denied to him. He wanted to reclaim it, though he felt a despair that he could not. Torn, his eyes filled with moisture as one lone tear found its escape. "Mamo... Endymion... don't cry..." Usagi told him as she lifted a hand to remove his tears. His face was steel, unmoving. Usagi felt part of the dread he experienced. In some small way, they were still bonded. Quickly the small, blue haired Senshi broke the silence. "We should all head home, it's getting late," Ami recommended. All the girls, including Usagi, nodded in agreement. In a mass swirl of weak energy, the five detransformed, leaving them in their normal clothing. Usagi watched Endymion as he stood up. "You're going to have to change, Mamoru-san," Makoto instructed. "Mahmohroosahn... is that my name?" he asked. "Hai, but without the 'san,' we just call you that," she explained. "Alright, so change into what?" "Normal clothes, like we did." "How?" Usagi caught on to the dilema and took his large hands in hers. "Relax," she told him in a soft voice. "Close your eyes and just let your entire body relax, don't think about anything. Relax." Endymion did as instructed, and a slight warmth washed over him in waves of dull energy. When he opened his eyes, he was in his armor, the last thing that he had worn, milennia ago. Rei groaned at the sight of the black metal over the deep blue general's uniform. "Lose the armor, Prince." "Why?" Minako placed a hand on his shoulder, a large drop of sweat covering her features. (Visualize the sweat drop, people!) "Knights sort of went out with the Middle Ages." "Middle Ages?" Venus passed out from unnecessary stress. "He has a lot to learn," Ami mumbled to the ceiling. After some reasoning, and reluctance, Endymion removed his armor, each piece falling to the floor with a loud "CLANK." Next came the cape, and finally he stood only garbed in a normal general's outfit, black calve high boots, blue pants, and a blue shirt with a straight collar. He sighed in relief as they finally started up the stairs. He wanted to be outside. He hated the walls. "You look happy," Usagi commented. Endymion's face turned slightly red. "Well, I'm sort of excited. I'm curious as to see what it looks like outside. Besides, this building is making me claustrophobic, there aren't any windows." He smiled at his princess. "Well, you should be happy to know that we'll be outside in one sec." "Great," he added with enthusiasm. "I can't wait to get some fresh..." Each quickly filed out the door, Endymion last. His face twisted into some mixture between pain, sickness, and shock. "... air..." He didn't notice who said the next words to him. "Endymion? Endymion, daijobu ka?" He didn't answer as he stared at the tall buildings, lifeless non-stone that he had never seen before. He suddenly felt very alone. His face went pale and he began to sweat; Usagi felt sick to her stomach. "Endymion..." "What on Earth? What..." Ami was the first to catch on, she tried to explain it to him. "The population has grown quite large since you were around, such large buildings are necessary to house all the people. Since the population has spread world wide, it was important to have better transportation, and therefore better roads. Concrete works better than anything we have come up with. It's kind of noisy here in the city, but you'll get used to it after a while. It's not as bad as it seems." "How big can the population be?!" "There are about five billion people living on Earth." "..... Gods of Earth and Air.... that's impossible." By now, Endymion was forgetting how to breath, car exhaust was a completely new experience for him. He didn't like it. He hated the large machines that ran up and down the streets and he wanted to be home badly. Through all of this he didn't realize that the girls were ready to disperse, and when they started upon their separate ways, instictively, he followed Usagi, who was headed with Ami. Soon the two realized they had a follower, and turned to confront him. Usagi was rather puzzled by the whole situation. "Sumimasen, Mamoru-san, where are you going?" "I live with you, don't I?" "N... nani? I... iie," she stuttered. "Uhm.. well then, where do I live? I thought for sure we'd be married if we're this old..." Once again, redness made its way up Usagi's neck, covering her face in its crimson hue. "Iie, I'm not old enough to..." "Not old enough? You've bled, haven't you? I mean, you don't look that young..." "Bled?" He continued on casually, slightly confused, but making it seem like a normal conversation. "You know, bled. You're at an age that you can bare children, aren't you? I mean, I know some girls are late, but by the look of you, you seem mature..." "CRACK" "Don't you EVER talk to me that way again!" Usagi screamed. "Hentai!" "Gods, you didn't have to hit me! It was just a question!" "What kind of question is that!?" "It's just a legitiment question, you shouldn't be offended. I just wanted to know if you're ready for marriage, that's all." Ami once again stepped in to break down the cultural barriers. "Endymion, that is no longer an appropriate question to ask a girl; the legal age for marriage is sixteen. Usagi-chan, he didn't know any better, so you'd best forgive him. I don't know where you live, so you can spend the night at my place until we figure that out." "I know where he lives," Usagi added, an uncertainty in her voice. She had never told the senshi how she had come to know that Chiba Mamoru and Tuxedo Kamen were one and the same. It was also when she realized just how much she loved him, and the first time he had called her... her heart skipped a beat with the thought. She could just hear his softened voice, so clearly, he whispered, "Usako." Without hesitation she settled into the chest of the man next to her, so close to her desires, and was filled with that familiar warmth one could only get from the one they love. "Mamo-chan..." she sighed her own pet name for him as she wrapped her tiny arms about his waist. Sweet memories flooded her mind. "Aishite." He gently enveloped her in loving arms as he closed his eyes. Softly, he whispered, "Serenity..." Usagi's eyes snapped open instantly, her face bright red. "Usagi-chan, I think maybe it would be best to not leave Endymion alone tonight. Why don't you both stay at my apartment, Mama-san's out of town again, so it'll be alright," Ami suggested, distracting Usagi from her questions. With no objections, they started off, Endymion lagging behind the two girls, partially from sickness, but mostly from the lacking he felt with Usagi. However, without Usagi by his side, Endymion felt lost. The pounding in his head became too much, and his body was losing any sort of natural balance it had. This came from the planet, of course. Endymion came directly from a time of clean water, plentiful forestation, and fresh air. The immediate change was wreaking havoc on his self, so in tune with the planet was he. He needed painkillers he didn't even know existed yet, or a caretaker (Serenity being the best), or, at the very least, distraction. The latter came in the form of multiple glass screens in the shop of an electronics store. Television always seemed to impress the ignorant. Endymion stood in front of the shop window, staring at the boxes. It took about three minutes for the girls to realize he was no longer with them. It took Ami less than a minute to figure out where he'd be. Usagi stared at Endymion, speechless. By now, Ami was explaining how the screens were small for home use and such devices were now more for entertainment than communication. She also promised to explain it in greater detail when she had the chance. With his curiousity peaked, Ami decided to talk on the way home (much to Usagi's protest: "Demo... it's boring! I don't want to learn on the weekend!"), and Endymion simply walked behind the two, intent on listening. Until the pain came back, and he lost interest. He knew what it was, the concrete. Nothing around him was organic, save the people, of which he didn't know. His pace slowed until he lost the girls in the crowd, all he could think of was home. He slumped up against a store entrance, and the items within caught his attention. Well, actually, it was a furniture store, the potted plants caught his attention. He'd feel better of he was in touch with nature, and the local flora would have to do. "I... I wanna go in there..." he stated weakly, unaware that he had even lost his group. He couldn't care less, all he could think of was how horrible he felt. He wanted to pass out. Upon entering he made his way over to a rather tall tree that looked rather tropical, like a palm. His first impression was how atrocious it was to remove a tree from the ground; flowers, maybe, trees, never. His second, when he touched the leaves, was how they had no feeling. "Can I help you?" a loud voice chirped, scaring the daylights out of him. "Are you looking for something in particular?" "Uhm... no. Although, I was wondering what kind of plant this is..." "Palm, well, artificial." "Artificial?" "Ja, you know, plastic, not real, but it looks real. It's great for spicing up a room, only six thousand yen." "You mean you sell fake trees?!" "Of course." "What kind of business is that? That's horrible! I demand that you stop such...." Without his noticing, a man grabbed Endymion by the shoulder, turning him around. "Look, I don't want any trouble tonight, kid, so why don't you just hightail it before you get into a mess, ne?" Needless to say, Endymion wasn't to thrilled by his treatment. As a matter of fact, he was rather mad. "How dare you address me as such! I am the Crown..." Then Luna's words resounded in his mind. <"Gomen ne, you are no longer the prince of Earth."> "Ahh... Excuse me..." Endymion was out of the store in a flash, every ounce of his confidence shot. "SERENITY?!? AMI?!? WHERE ARE YOU!?!" he called as loudly as possible. He ended up with many a blank stare or mean glance, with not one familiar face in the crowd. Scared, he started walking in the direction he was going before, hoping to run into his... friends. Soon walking became pacing, then jogging, then running. He became frantic as he did not find them, and forgot certain things, like looking before crossing the street. Having multiple people screaming at you because you were three inches away from becoming a hood ornament never helped anyone. So he ran, straight and true, desperate for some kind of salvation as his heart pounded away. Then it came, as if he was led there by fate. Suddenly, the bad feelings stopped as he made one of his biggest mistakes for a minor comfort. Endymion walked into the park. End part Two. Gomen, this is short and late, a bad combination. I just don't have the time to write so much as of late. Demo, don't worry, I'll be free when the summer comes along. Then I'll be back on track. Hang in there 'til then, Okay? Great. Next Part: Earth. Note: You'll notice I never have Endy speaking Japanese. I'm kind of using it as an accent thing. You'll see that later, I just wanted to point it out.
