Hello again. It been awhile but I got the second chapter of the story out. I’m kind of disappointed though because I got very little e- mail about Wisdom’s Fool. Please e-mail me! It kinda sad to be writing this and nobody sending me any flames but of course I am sad but that’s beside the point. Any way, please e-mail me at Nightfall7@mail.com or else I will be force to hurt you. DISCLAIMER: When I read back at my last chapter I notice that I forgot to write a disclaimer. I know that *some* people out there are intelligent enough to know that Sailor Moon doesn’t belong to me but the other 99% of the people must be constantly reminded of the little fact. So here it goes *deep breath* SAILOR MOON DOES NOT BELONG TO ME!!!… Wisdom’s fool Chapter 2 By: Nightfall The world that lies around me So harsh and cold by sight Causing me more pain each day Killing me with its darkness Engulfing me in emptiness Only stopping when enough damage is done -Nightfall She could feel the cold metal of the dagger pressed more firmly at her neck. The wind blew gently chilling her body till she couldn’t feel no more. Her leg was still weak that when she tried to take a step away the dagger took a thin slice of just above her left collarbone. Though it wasn’t deep enough to cause any serious injury it was deep enough that blood began to border the wound. Their eyes soften a bit as she took the injury without a word but then it hardened again. It surprised her more as she turned her head slightly at a young girl with dark black hair, a little younger than herself, with such a hard look that she could scare a youma away. She held her place staunchly unlike anybody else her age who would have been afraid to stand up to anyone of older than they were. Suddenly the dagger was lowered but then she was grabbed but the collar of the shirt as they lead her somewhere she could not see. Her hair dangled over her face covering her view and the tears that had now escaped from her eyes. She took her hand and rubbed her finger lightly around her injury trying to smooth the pain with little success. Without warning she was thrown toward the ground adding more pressure to her already sprain ankle. She stayed there on her hands and knees listening to the faint talking in the background. A stickiness laid on her left hand and she took it off the floor to examine it, seeing her hand marked in blood on the marble floor. She took a glance up toward the voices and saw the blond soldier talking to an unclear figure. She did not have to see the face to know who it was though. The voice was so sweet and memorizing and even if she didn’t know it by sight she knew it by heart. When the soldier moved away it brought all her though to truth. Their eyes froze, they looked each other through their soul not their any other senses. They could already feel an attachment made inside themselves but did not understand why that was. No words were spoken for a while until the impatience soldiers with a lively stroke of brown hair spoke up although her words were barely acknowledged. Uneasily she torn her eyes away from the queen and adverted her attention to the speaker. Several eyes glared uncertainly at her yet none of them shone with pure hate like the blond had shown her a while before. The four joined the other that had captured her. Before she turned back toward the queen her eyes meet a very special statue of an angel or maybe even a goddess. She had hair of pearl white that would outshine the light of the moon itself and a pair of wing on the back of her light moonbeam dress. Her face held little emotions that you could see but possess a strong power that overwhelms the statue to it highest limits. A spark of power jumped from the image and her out held hand caught a strange object that she quickly hid from the view of other. Its warmth power up a flame inside awakening a power that lies inside of her. How warm it felt as if she was holding a piece of coal yet as she held it closer she could feel the power working its way through her entire body, pushing to her soul. An angry growl brought her attention back to the queen, as she held the object closer to her chest without drawing any complete attention to her. Again the power surged through her with warmth that she had never felt before. It covered her with its magic and then everything became blank but the magic kept swirling around her as it warped itself around her and it was then that everything became black once more. Her body jumped up from the bed and groaned angrily. She body trembled slightly at the coldness in the air and the fear that still remain inside of herself. The room remained deathly quiet for some time and the only sound that was heard was the soft clicking of the clock. Groaning again she reached out and grabbed the clock into her head and brought it over. 9:16. No way. How could she over sleep like that when she went to sleep at seven last night? She pushed back the sheets and let her hands off her pink stuffed bunny before heading towards the shower for a cold bath to wake her up completely. After a short while she emerged out with a light color tank top and jeans. She picked up her wooden brush and headed downstairs where she noticed some suitcase. “Ohh shot! Mama is going to be so mad.” She cursed to herself. She raced back up the stairs and took out a velvet black purse and rushed down in a great disaster forgetting to even eat breakfast. At the airport, she had a difficult time not just finding a plane that will leave in a bit but also actually finding any planes that are due to go to Tokyo today but luckily she was able to find one. There was a crowd of people bustled around yet she was oblivious to any of that for her mind fixed on her thoughts. The dream puzzled her to a point that she could almost swear that everything that she had experience were real but she knew how absurd that sound. There was a slight ache on her neck and she started to rub it relieving some of the pain. A certain wetness laid on her palm and she looked at it. Red. Her mind pounded greatly and she placed her hand back on the wound, rubbing it harshly until it drew up more blood. The thick liquid laid on her palm tormenting her to no end as it blared out from her palm. She quickly covered the wound with her palm, pushing at it tightly as fear began rushing through her head. Her mind dawned on the answer and it struck back to her previous dream, the dagger, the picture, and everything, but how can it be? Wasn’t that all a dream and dreams are just images in your mind that conjure up, they can’t hurt you. Can they? They loud sound of the attendant’s voice was heard clearly. “All passenger heading toward flight 167 please board now. Repeat, the flight to Tokyo on flight 167 is now boarding.” Removing her hand from the injury she took out a light blue scarf and wrapped it carefully around the bloody cut. After making sure that it was in place she grabbed the rest of her luggage and headed towards the airplane where she was determine to find out what’s happening. * * * * Her mind throbbed with excessive pain as her mind ran over and over at the thought. How strange that girl had seemed, appearing and disappearing in darkness by such an unusual magic. It was a strong power, almost stronger than she was and she was quite sure that if the girl had the ability to tap into the very core of her power she would be far superior to her. Wouldn’t she? It has everything to do with her eyes. Joyful yet sad, innocent but dangerous, pure but forgotten, blissful but distressed, and loved but unloved. She felt as though she could feel the very depth of her heart and held as much as a hold on this girl as she had already on her. She sighed instinctively as sat up from her chair walking towards the barricaded door. A strange mark was made on the ground before her and as she knelt down to examine it she notice that it was blood. Gasping she took note that it was in a shape of a hand although the shape was unclear for it was a considerable amount. Her heart saddened although she was still unsure of way. This strange, she heard, had appeared when the evil witch had and the others firmly believe that she was the one who summoned the witch to come. Yet when she looked at her face she could sense no evil just a pure light shining waiting to be set free. No such person had been able to fool her for she was certain that that girl was of light and she will be the messiah that will rid them of the evil spirits. She was the messiah. No evil can force out magic in a form of the pure light and tranquility for that is a power that only the gods and goddess possess. She must be the messiah for who else may come and go so easily using such a minimum amount of energy if none at all. She will be the savior of the world and regain the balance of good and evil to the earth. Yes, she is the messiah. Yet, where was she now? Could it be that she had forgotten about the people whom she would fight for and protect. If she was the savior than why had she not say anything at the moment of her arrival and she looked frightened almost as though she did not understand what was happening. This girl too young to protect everything has powers that overcome all she had ever felt before. Using such an enormous power can either bring a lifetime a peace and harmony to the world or bring about an evil that none can ever hope to conquer. Her mind rack with all of the information that she had thought up. How she knew all of this she did not know it was just there as though she was the only one that will be able to grasp the thought of a world of tranquility or one of evil and destruction. To hold the fate of the universe in one’s hand. But why was the power bestowed on such a young child? There must be special about her to have such a unique gift but does she know about it? Suddenly a low rumble came from outside followed by several frighten cries of pain. Getting up from her kneeing position on the ground she rushed out of the door to find lifeless bodies sprawl across the ground and the evil Queen Beryl chuckling at her misdeed. Her eyes welled up with tears as she continued to watch helplessly at her people running around, fear overtaking their body as one after another was shot down with a dark beam. Falling to her knees as tears streaked down her pale skin, she watched as a little girl, shot in the back, fell in the bodies of her parents. Her eyes stared up blankly without any life in them only motionless emptiness darkening in her eyes. A pain pushed itself through her heart as the pendant that hangs loosely around her neck glowed powerfully. She chocked out a pained sob and wrapped her fingers around her pendant feeling it warmth spread throughout her body. Beryl turned around and her eyes gleamed evilly as she saw the distress look that settled on the queen’s tear struck eyes. The high, honorable queen was helpless to do anything without the silver crystal. Hovering down she looked disgusted at the weak queen and almost laughed at the simple ness of the mission. Lifting her hand, palm up, she began gathering energy in a form of a dark red ball that hovered a few inches from the palm of her hand. The orb of light was thrown toward the queen, who looked fearfully yet unblinking as the orb came closer to her head. Just as it stood a few inches from her face, it then disappeared, just as though it was never even there. Beryl smiled at the confused appearance on the queen’s face. “I am not here to kill you. At least I am not going to yet, anyways. My only wish is to see you suffer as I had suffered but that doesn’t mean I will show your daughter the same curtsey when I find her!” She laughed wickedly as she gripped the handle of her staff and moved it in a circular motion, creating a black portal. “SERENITY!” Serenity turned around and saw her husband running towards her with concern and love in his eyes. She ran up to meet him falling directly into his embrace, as her tears began to slow down. His hands wrapped around her back possessively. Worriedly she looked up at him as he let out a soft moan of pain. His hand loosened around her back and then left her completely, as he fell backward, lifeless. Serenity screamed and fell to her knees before her husband. His eyes closed in a dreamless sleep but his pained expression remained on his face. She screamed again and the pendant on her neck let out a bright white light surrounding her kingdom. She picked her head up and saw the smile that fell across the Beryl’s face and with that last gesture the evil queen left leaving behind the heart-broken Moon Queen who cried on her husband’s chest. * * * * Her hand ran along the railing, as she walked away from the plane deep in thought. Her thoughts were fixed on the events that had happened just before and, even now, she was not able to think of a reasonable explanation for what had happened. She stuffed her free hand into the pockets of her jeans giving in but then felt a smooth, warm object. She moved her hand around it, noticing that it was no bigger than that of a rock. As she brought it out it took a moment’s glimpse at the sun and blinded her for a second. Soon her vision returned and she fixed her eyes on the strange object, almost dropping it when she was given a clear look at it. In her hand sat a perfectly cut rare crystal glimmering out a bright silvery light that made its way to her body. She shivered as a strange yet so familiar warmth began to take over her body, mind, and soul. Then she shivered again but this time of one of coldness. Her mind shook violently cursing her for not being able to see it before. This light was so familiar because she had felt it before. In her dreams. Stop it, Serena! That was just a dream! It wasn’t real! Her mind argued with her but she could not admit that as the truth for she held evidence that supports her theory yet does not prove it. Walking, half consciously, she went over to a cab, placed all her luggage in the back of the cab, and went inside, smelling a scent of fresh pine. As the cab drove on, she gently fingered the crystal letting it spring out a great white light that blinded her physically for a while but opened her mind. Images seemed to gather inside her mind as it fought out a picture of a figure in white with an unclear face. Just then the images became clearer although the face of the white figure was still unknown, for she hid her face in the chest of another figure, but the surroundings around her was definitely clear. All around her lays the bodies of countless men, women, and children, trapped in a dead/unconscious state. Their face wiped of all emotions leaving a gruesome darkness lurking in their eyes, which stared straight ahead into nothing. Their eyes searching for nothing. Gasping suddenly, she opened her eyes and dropped the crystal watching it clutter onto her lap. A face deathly cold and unfeeling had seemed to have taken over her mind in the last few seconds of her time. Her eyes darker than ice stared toward her inviting her to come over and feel the darkness of the evil. Her apprentice stood beside her with her flaming red hair and even hotter eyes but not as vicious as her master who held no face. She had only a pair of darken eyes breaking apart all warmth and killing all innocent, watching as one by one she creates more evil so that they may do her bidding. Grapping the crystal from her lap, she stuffed it into her duffle bag burying it beneath her clothes, as the tried to rid her mind of the haunting eyes. Sighing she pushed her head backward, feeling the soft material of the scarf on her neck. Reaching in her purse, she removed a mirror that laid near the bottom and she took the scarf off carefully. Inside was a red soaked are that had received the moisture of the blood. The wound had managed to mend together but dried blood caked around the wound. Snatching up her duffle bag she took out a bottle of water and pour a little on one of the corner scarf but not so much to damp it. The pressed the damp area onto the bruised injury for a while. The blood collected the moisture and was then easily wiped off. In all the injury wasn’t major so she placed the scarf back into her bag and laid down, trying to forget everything. Although her neck was a little sore, she took no heed to it but suddenly to her ankle, which as she now notices was somewhat purple. The area of the twist had swelled up but to her gratification, it had very little pain coursing through it. She could almost feel something like a pair of soft, warm hand rubbing up and down in a steady motion relieving the pain away. No longer fighting back, she accepted that what she had experience was not just a dream but something more than that. Her fear had developed into a pain. What should happen if one night she was to sleep and never wake up because she had been stabbed or shot by an evil energy. She shudder at the very thought that had entered her mind. Why was this happening to her? Her had fell upon her ankle and sighed not knowing what was happening to her and what will happen to her. Yet how come before she had never had others see her as they do now? Their eyes used to look past her not noticing that she was in their presence but now not only do they notice her they are paying far to much attention to her as evil conjurer, or magician, of some sort. Slowly the cab made its way to a stop and she half-mindedly stepped out. After taking her bag out of the trunk and paying the driver she walked up to the door and knocked twice. The door opened after a few second and a blue-haired women came to view. Her eyes adverted back into the house as she said something in Japanese to another form in the house. “Hello, Okaa-san.” Shocked the figure turned around surprised to see her daughter standing a few feet before with a warm smile spread across her face. One had held a dark gray duffle bag and the other was outspread towards her. Happily, she took her daughter in her embrace and led her inside, carrying one of her two bags in for her. Kenjo then came inside the room hearing a happy shrieking sound coming form the living room. As soon as he was in the sight of his daughter came to view and he immediately came towards and took her into his embrace, happy that she had finally came. After coming to their sense, they settled down and began to talk quietly among themselves. “So Mama, when is the wedding tomorrow?” Serena asked in the middle of her soda, noticing their face turn a dark beet red. Her eyes deepened in suspicion as she past one guilty face to the others. “Well, see Serena the wedding isn’t until next week.” Ikuno said, smiling slightly. The corner of her mouth twitch as if though she was trying to hold back her laughter and her eyes twinkled with a little mischief. “WHAT!” Serena shouted as her head began to throb with pain as well as anger. She turned towards her father who had on the same mischievous look that seemed more joyous than that of Sammy, her little brother. She could not understand the laughter that rang around the room that caused her blood to boil up more. “Sorry Serena. It was your mother’s idea,” her father started off, receiving a hard punch in the arm making him wince. “We wanted to get you here on time for the wedding so we made you come a little earlier than when the wedding was really scheduled.” “A little earlier?! You sent me a week earlier than when the wedding was actually schedule! That’s not a little earlier! Yesterday you called telling me to be here tomorrow for aunt Elena’s wedding!” Serena vented. “Actually we called 1½ weeks ago about Aunt Elena’s wedding.” Ikuno said shyly. Serena froze at the comment. Was she always that late? Grunting she slumped back down on the sofa looking angrily at the giggle sight of her parents in front of her. “Don’t be angry, dear.” Ikuno said, calming herself down. “Another reason that I wanted you here ahead of time was so that you can try on the dress I got you. I wasn’t sure about your size now so I need to find out if it’s too big or small for you so that I can buy another.” Serena brightened up vaguely but it didn’t go unnoticed to her parents. “It ’s upstairs in our room if you want to try it on now.” Gleaming now she raced upstairs and into her parents’ room seeing a white satin dress laid on top of the bed. It was in a plastic coating so not to ruin the dress. Enchanted by it she continued to walk towards it in a dreamily state. Having a moments lapse of clumsiness, caused by she sprain ankle, she tripped over a box knocking it over and spilling out its contents. Falling to her knees, she began to scope up the papers in her hands and putting them back in their correct files. Many of them she took interest to like the notice for a tax return and numerous bills. Her hand then ran along a smooth laminated sheet that shone with a golden boarder. It looked to be of some kind of legal document so she picked it up and read it: Bureau of Children Welfare Female age 2 Adopted into the Tsukino residence Serena of unknown origin Home- unknown Family- unknown Her eyes stared unbelievingly at the sheet of paper that she held in her hand. Her heart ache terribly, threatening to break. No! This can’t be real. Her mind fought with her again and she hope that it can convince her that this was just one of her nightmares. Home- unknown Family- unknown Family- unknown… * * * * * I do not know where I am going with this story and I kinda rushed at the ending because I wanted to start on the 3rd chapter. It was getting better long and I didn’t want to make it too long. Anyways please e-mail me a Nightfall7@mail.com. No one is e-mailing me about how bad it is and that is really insulting. I mean I spend all of my time writing this junk and the least you can do is send me a flame.
